"Hot Rod" Culliford, 31, of Pleasant Hill, died March 26, 2002, in Houston, Texas, in an accident. He recently had moved to Splendora, Texas. He was employed with Rowan Co. Inc., and was a former employee of Nabors Drilling. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., March 30, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, with interment following at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. The Rev. E. W. Coleman officiated. Survivors include two daughters, Jaelyn Danee Culliford, and Jacey Taylor Culliford, both of Alexandria; mother, Ruby D. Culliford of Shreveport; two sisters, DeeDee Culliford of Shreveport, and Barbara Vanzant Farro of Dansville, N. Y.; four brothers, C. W., and R. C. Culliford, both of Shreveport, A. C. Culliford of Glenmora, and B. C. Culliford of Pineville; three nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Culliford; brother, D. C. Culliford; and his grandparents. Pallbearers were David Wells, Nathan Wells, Joseph Lynn Henderson, Michel Glen Henderson, Bobby Wadell, and Bernice Lee Edwards. Honorary pallbearer was Travis Wayne Williams.
