The Sabine Index - Thomas Dewitt Colston

  12 May 1961 - Last rites for Thomas Dewitt Colston, age 68, who
died at Ft. Jesup Baptist Church at 2 p.m. May 6, with Rev. Jack
E. Byrd officiating. Interment was in church cemetery under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were: Arthur Wagley, Charlie Self, Herbert Leach,
Florien Arthur, T. C. Forbis and Willie Bell.

  Survivors are wife Mrs. Christene Colten of Many, sons,
Sylvester, Howard and Aubrey Colston, all of Many, daughter, Mrs.
Doris Russell of Nederland, Texas, 1 sister, Mrs. Mattie Stringer
of Toro, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
