Clawson Of interest to Sabine Parish residents, will be the death of Mr. Joseph Albert Hall Clawson, 76, of Mansfield, who died in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport, Sunday, Dec. 14, after a short illness. Funeral services were at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the Drewett Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Patrick Cahill officiating, assisted by the Dr. George A. Ritchey. Burial was in the Mansfield Cemetery. He was the mayor pro tem of Mansfield, and alderman of Mansfield, and a retired registrar of voters of DeSoto Parish. He was the organizer of the Louisiana Registrars of Voters Association, and was its president for three terms. He organized the DeSoto Parish Historical Society, a member of the Democratic Central Committee for DeSoto Parish for one term. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the Navy, and two years in the Army. He was a native of DeSoto Parish, and a member of the Catholic Church.
