Jasper W. Caldwell

  Jasper W. Caldwell, 88, of Many, died in Port Arthur, Tex., on
Monday, Aug. 18, at 6 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Caldwell is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mertie Caldwell of Many;
a son, Omer Caldwell, and a daughter, Mrs. Lavell Carroll, both
of Port Arthur, Tex., 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel
on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Julian Jones,
and the Rev. Tom McDaniel officiating.

  Burial was in the Oak Hill Chemetery, under the direction of the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Emmett Caldwell,
Gordan Green, Gary Caldwell, Billy Caldwell, Michael Caldwell,
and Edward Caldwell.
