Officiating will be Rev. Randy Riley, assisted by Rev. David Worthington. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2000 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Minden, LA. Mr. Caldwell, a retired educator, died Sunday, May 21, 2000 in Shreveport, LA. He was born in Negreet, LA and was a resident of Shreveport, LA. Mr. Caldwell was a graduate of Negreet Hight School Class of 1939 and LSU Baton Rouge in 1947. He was a 1st Lt., Infantry, United States Army. Mr. Caldwell received the Bronze Star medial for heroic achievement in action on April 25, 1945. He was an educator in Webster Parish retiring in 1981, a member of the Broadmoor Baptist church and a volunteer with the American Rose Society. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arnell Evans Caldwell, brother, Buford Caldwell and sister, Roma Jean Caldwell. Survivors are son, Keith Speight Caldwell, Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Maxine Simmons, Ruston, LA and Willa Dean Randolph, Jefferson, Texas; one brother, Glen Caldwell, Pelican, LA, three grandchildren, Jonathan Caldwell, Brandon Caldwell and Joshua Caldwell
