Mrs. Mattie Vivian Colton

  Services for Mrs. Mattie Vivian Colton, 84, of Converse, were
held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 6, at the Drewett Memorial Chapel in
Mansfield, La. The Rev. Herrin officiated. Burial was at Oak
Grove Cemetery near Converse.

  Mrs. Colton died at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 1985, in
Mansfield, after a lengthy illness.

  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vivian Craig of Converse;
two sons, Gerald Colton of Ruston, La., and Marlin L. Colton of
Shreveport, La.; one sister, Mrs. Irene Williams of Baton Rouge,
La.; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
