  Delfa Childress - December 6, 1973

  Mrs. Delfa Childress, 82, of Carthage, Tex., died Tuesday, Nov.
27, in a Carthage hospital after a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 28 in Price
Caraway Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jacky Corbitt
officiating. Burial was in Brookland Cemetery.

  Survivors are two daughters, Miss Bonnie Lee Whitehead of San
Angelo, Tex. and Mrs. Roy O. Ross of Carthage, Tex.; one son,
Amos Lee Whitehead of Austin, Tex.; one sister mrs. Nola Russell
of Many; two brothers, Willie Dalton and Newt Dalton, both of
Shreveport; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
