Edward Norman Callens

  Services for Edward Norman Callens, 70, were held at the Union
Baptist Church of Belmont, on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2:30 p.m., with
the Rev. J. P. King officiating.

  Mr. Callens died on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 3:05 a.m., in the
Highland Hospital in Shreveport, following an extended illness.

  Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his widow, Doris Callens of Shreveport; one
son, Dennis Edward Callens of Orange, Tex.; two daughters,
Carolyn Lewis of Shreveport, and Betty Johnson of Houston, Tex.;
one stepson, Don Buswell of Richland, Washington, and five
grandchildren.
