Interment followed in the Belmont Cemetery in Belmont, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Thomas Cobb, Rev. Pat Cobb, and Rev. Guy Burr officiated. Mrs. Callens passed away on March 18, 1995, at the Sabine Medical Center in Many, La. Mrs. Callens was born August 17, 1920, in Pleasant Hill, to Nellie Jemima Isham and Alford Dewitt Early. Mrs. Callens was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Callens; and a daughter, Judy Collins. Survivors are one son, Bill Callens of Hackberry, La.; one sister, Aileen Adair of Bayou Scie, La.; two brothers, Virgil Dewitt Early of Belmont, and Glen Early of Belmont; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
