Ms. Rita Pharris Varnado Callens

  Ms. Rita Pharris Varnado Callens, (better known as "Mama Lady"
to all her friends), 91, of Many, died Thursday, Aug 6.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 7, at Warren
Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following at Ft.
Jesup Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Ratcliff, and the Rev. C. J. Whaley
officiated.

  Survivors include one son, O. E. (Skeeter) Varnado and wife Jan
of Many; four sisters, Lois Davion, and Loree Faulstitch, both of
Lake Charles, Jocie Pederson of Shreveport, and Iloise Mims of
Dallas, Texas; one brother, Kermit Pharris of Shreveport; two
grandchildren, Cliff Varnado of Natchitoches, and Jana Chicola of
Many.
