Mr. Don Clanton, Sr.

  Mr. Don Clanton Sr., 42, of Orange, Texas, died Saturday, Oct.
25. He was a ship fitter.

  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29, at
Les Fontaine Funeral Home Chapel in Many, with interment
following at Ft. Jesup Cemetery in Many. The Rev. Glen Flenniken
will officiate, and the Rev. H. H. Tibbits will assist.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Iris Clanton of Orange, Texas;
three sons, Joshua Clanton of Houston, Texas, Don Clanton Jr. of
Livingston, Texas, and Shawn M. Clanton of Washington State; one
daughter, Jenny Lynn Clanton of Florida; three stepchildren,
Hector L. Vargas of Kentucky, Carlos Vargas of Beaumont, Texas,
and Louis E. Vargas of Leesville; parents, Alton Clanton of
Dallas, Texas, and Ruthie Mae Mitchell of Many; one Godchild,
Danielle Renay Clanton; half sisters, Alina Thornburg of
Richmond, Ind., and Danna Clanton of Alexandria; one brother, Dan
Clanton of Ragley; and numerous grandchildren.
