McCormack, pastor of University Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was at Forest Park Cemetery. Mrs. Clement passed away Saturday night, July 27, 1996, following a month long battle with cancer. Being childless, she was the 'favorite aunt' of numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Mrs. Clement, wife of Walter L. Clement, was a native of Clarks in Caldwell Parish, and had resided in Shreveport for more than 50 years. They celebrated their golden anniversary in 1994. She was a graduate of Clarks High School, and was retired from Western Auto. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Redden, and Bertie Greer Ferguson of Fisher, both former residents of Clarks; and a younger sister. She is survived by her husband, Walter L. Clement of Shreveport; two sisters, Geraldine F. Durant of Shreveport, and Mary F. Blanchard of Mansfield; two brothers, W. R. Ferguson of Denver, Colo., and Warren G. Ferguson of Missoula, Mont.; and eleven nieces and nephews. Bearing the pall will be Bill Jones, James Fox II, James Fox III, Mike Durant, Jeb Blanchard, and Robert L. Lively. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Drs. B. R. Bickham, T. A. Nichols, and the nurses on 4 East, Willis-Knighton Medical Center.
