Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, with the Rev. Roy officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Clanan was a resident of Natchitoches, and a native of Florien. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches. Survivors include one son, Albert J. Clanan of El Paso, Texas; three daughters, Germaine Powell of Leesville, Cecelia Hebert of Ragley, and Elma Abraham of Natchitoches; one sister, Myrtis Mooney of DeRidder; 32 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; and 30 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Clanan was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Clanan; two sons, Leo Clanan, and Allen Clanan; one granddaughter, Mary Ann Powell; one grandson, Brian Clanan; and three great grandsons, John Abraham, and James Abraham Jr., and Lane Shivers. Pallbearers were Aubert Clanan, Kenneth Hebert, Michael Savell, Dean Abraham, Francis Powell, and John Abraham. Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, La.
