Lee Collier were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 1992, at the Redland Baptist Church in Florien, with the Rev. D. A. Jones officiating. Rev. Donnie Edmonson, Sr., was pastor. Burial followed in the Negreet Cemetery, under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home of Many. Rev. Collier, 83, of Florien, passed away August 1, 1992, in the Sabine Medical Center in Many. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Collier; five sons, Roosevelt Collier, Monroe Collier, Robert Collier, Larry Collier, all of Florien, and Jimmie Collier of Many; one daughter, Mary Collier Cary of Shreveport; one sister, Lou Davis of Many; and a host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Lee Collier Jr. Pallbearers were Deacons from Redland Baptist Church. Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and Evergreen Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers were nephews, grandsons, and great grandsons. Flower bearers were ushers from his churches. Honorary flower bearers were nieces, granddaughters, and great granddaughters. Singers were members from his two churches that he pastored. Soloist was Catherine Carhee.
