All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Clyde Monroe Campbell Funeral services for Clyde Monroe Campbell, 74, of Pleasant Hill were held at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28. The Rev. Joe Thibeau, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill, officiated. Burial followed at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with military graveside rites rendered by Chapter 21, Disabled American Veterans. Pallbearers were Derek Spencer, Billy Jackson, Michael Strahan, John Bullard, T. J. Washburn, Billy Wayne Peacock and Junior Golden. Mr. Campbell, a retired oilfield worker, died in Pleasant Hill on Sunday, March 26 following a lengthy illness. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired after 13 years of service. Survivors include his sisters, Gladys Gallons and Sidney H. Jacobs, both of Pleasant Hill and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Rebecca Campbell; brothers, Billy Ray Campbell and Eddie M. Campbell Jr.; and sisters, Dorothy Houston Smith and Doris Evelyn Conway.
