Chambliss, a retired auto repairman for Green Chevrolet, was a native of Guam, Georgia. He was a member of the Summerfield Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise Chambliss of Bernice, two daughters, Mrs. Hollis Bray of Many, and Mrs. Revon Chammess of Tyler, Tex.; a brother, Stanley Chambliss of Orlando, Florida; four grandsons. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on tuesday, Aug 5, at the Summerfield Methodist Church, with the Rev. H. B. Kramer, and the Rev. Middleton officiating. Burial was in the Salem Cemetery in Athens, La., under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of Bernice.
