The Rev. Adrian Pater, and Rev. Vernon Stephenson officiated. Burial was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Campbell died on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 3:30 p.m., at Highland Hospital in Shreveport, following a lengthy illness. Born in Many on Jan. 4, 1929, he was 53 years old, and had been a resident of Pleasant Hill for a number of years. His survivors include his wife, Loyce Campbell; four sons, William Harold Campbell, II of Jarreau, Lt. Steve Campbell, Jerry Don Campbell, both of Pleasant Hill, Michael Campbell of Marthaville; three daughters, Sandy Campbell, Julie Haire, both of Pleasant Hill, Wanda Bullard of Belmont; five grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Samdol, Grace Thompson, both of Mobile, Ala.; and one aunt, Nettie Lawson of Pineland, Tx. Serving as pallbearers were Gilbert Briar of Belmont, Donnie Bernard of Hall Summit, Sidney Jacobs of New Roads, Clyde Campbell, Jerry Callens, Jimmy Rawls, Dale Terrell, and Doyle Stockton, all of Pleasant Hill.
