Campbell (Photo) Funeral services for Odis Benton "O. B." Campbell, 80, of Many, were held Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Many. Officiating was Rev. Bill Hines, and Rev. Bob Spears. Interment was at the Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Campbell died Friday, Dec. 6, at Highland Hospital in Shreveport. He was a Marthaville native, and had resided in Many since 1948. Before retiring, he owned a General Mercantile Store, which operated through the years under the names of Dixie Auto-Lec, Campbell's Auto-Lec, and Campbell's Otasco. He was a member and Past Master of Many Masonic Lodge No. 411, and a Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Many. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Marie Morriss. He is survived by his wife, Rubye Leigh Campbell of Many; one son, Larry Wayne Campbell and wife Pat of Many; one daughter, Debbie Walker and husband Clay of Shreveport. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Lisa M. Thompson, Brent Morris, Gavin Campbell, Brian Bock, Rebecca Bock, and Clayton Walker; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Nichols, Willard Dewitt, Steve Holley, Carson Campbell, Joyce Berry, and Jerry Baxter. Honorary pallbearers were Aubrey Veuleman, Kenneth Durr, W. E. Hayes, Joe Luster, and Gavin Campbell.
