Services were held in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Saturday, March 6, at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. J. C. Salley, Rev. B. J. Tidwell, and Rev. C. C. Pierce officiating. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Campbell of Pleasant Hill; three sons, Eddie M. Campbell Jr., and Clyde Monroe Campbell, both of Pleasant Hill, and Billy Ray Campbell of Ft. Stockton, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. O. O. Callens of Pleasant Hill; one brother, W. H. Campbell of Many; one sister, Mrs. Nettie Smith of Newton, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Henry Tramel, Eddie Cannon, Ray Lovelady, Kenneth Tenel, Vernice Dice, and Joe Hardy. Honorary pallbearers were Sidney Jacobs, Clyde Callens, and Wayne Callens.
