Arvis Champion

  Funeral services for Mr. Arvis Champion, 68, were held at 10
a.m., Saturday, July 6, at the Bayou Scie Methodist Church. Rev.
Ben Isgitt officiated. Interment followed in the Bayou Scie
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Champion died Thursday, July 4, at Willis Knighton Medical
Center in Shreveport.

  He is survived by his wife, Fay Champion of Zwolle; three
children, Billy Champion of Many, Jerry Champion, and David
Champion, both of Zwolle; one sister, Eva Quarles of Modesto,
Calif.; one brother, Herman Champion of Zwolle; six
grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
