Chamberlain, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, on Sunday, March 1, after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, at Dunlap Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Officiating was Rev. Wilson Warren. Burial followed at Forest Park Cemetery. She was reared in Marthaville, and was a longtime resident of Shreveport. Mrs. Chamberlain graduated from Highland Hospital School of Nursing, and was a registered nurse at Schumpert Medical Center. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, C. C. Chamberlain Jr.; her mother, Eula Bailes; her daughter, Malisa Gail Dibler and husband James; her son, Mark Avery Chamberlain and wife Rosemary; her brother, James Vance Bailes and wife Betty; two grandsons, Ryan Shea Dibler and Matthew Arthur Chamberlain; granddaughter, Ashley Lea Dibler; mother-in-law, Marie B. Chamberlain; sister-in-law, Patricia C. Lindabury and husband Charles; two nieces, Kristin and Karin Lindabury; and three nephews, Vance, Gary, and Darryl Bailes, all of Shreveport. Pallbearers were Dr. Tony Byles, Col. Robert Bogan, Robert Layton, Larry Ringold, Col. Don Stiver, and William Byles. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Dunlap Presbyterian Church, 2825 Creswell, Shreveport, La., 71104.
