Irene "Sis" Jett Conover

  Graveside services for Irene "Sis" Jett Conover, 79, of
Hornbeck, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 1997, in Oak
Grove Cemetery.

  The Revs. H. Wayne Read, and Edwin McCullough officiated. Burial
was under the direction of Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Conover died Thursday, April 10, in St. Frances Cabrini
Hospital, Alexandria.

  She was a native of Hornbeck, a member of Oak Grove Bible
Baptist Church, and a homemaker.

  She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Conover of
Hornbeck; two sons, Jerry Green of Hornbeck, and Terry Green of
Leesville; one daughter, Judith Ann Wright of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.;
one sister, Ida Mae White of Hornbeck; nine grandchildren; two
great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
