John B. Chambers

  Funeral services for John B. Chambers, 70, of Fisher, were held
Dec. 3, at 2 p.m., in the Fisher Baptist Church, with the Rev.
Jerry Mitchell, and the Rev. Ralph Stevens officiating. Burial
was in the Fisher Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Ralph Russell, Pete
Anderson, Hoyt Lockwood, Burl Cotton, Louis House, Herbert Small;
and honorary pallbearers were Jack House, and Marvin Salter.

  Mr. Chambers died Dec. 1, as the result of an automobile
accident.

  Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Elenor Chambers of
Fisher; a son, J. B. Chambers of San Jose, Calif.; three
daughters, Sallie Evans of Houston, Tex., Julia Hildebrand of
Natchitoches, and Susan Slay of Fisher; a brother, James W.
Chambers of Houma; two sisters, Mrs. Allen Kilmerlin of Baton
Rouge, and Mrs. Hazel Chauvin of Los Angeles; and nine
grandchildren.
