Chance Paul Lawrence Chance, 42, an Irving, Tex. resident, and former Shreveporter, died Saturday morning, Jan. 3, in an Irving hospital, after a lengthy illness. A resident of Irving for the past few years, Mr. Chance was a veteran of the Korean War, and a mechanic. The funeral was at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 5, in the Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, with the Rev. Ralph Smith, and the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens of Irving. Mr. Chance is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruby Strong Chance; one son, Stephen Chance of Dallas, Tex.; a daughter, Diane Chance of Irving; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Loue Attaway of Thornton, Ark., and Beulah Chance, Johnnie Chance, and Mrs. Helen Johnson, all of Shreveport; and four brothers, the Rev. Charles W. Chance of Houston, Tex., the Rev. Frank M. Chance of Pelican, formerly of Sabine Parish; and Harold C. Chance, and Tommy N. Chance, both of Shreveport.
