  W. M. "Dub" Chance - June 2, 1988

  Services for W. M. "Dub" Chance, 48, of Shreveport, were held at
2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Rose Neath's Southside Chapel. Rev.
Randy Johnson, pastor of Berean Baptist Church officiated,
assisted by Eddie DeHondt associate pastor of Summer Grove
Baptist Church. Burial was held at Forest Park West.

  Mr. Chance died Tuesday, May 31, 1988 at 9:10 a.m. at Willis
Knighton Medical Center after a long illness. He was a native of
Florien and a resident of Shreveport for 27 years. Mr. Chance was
a member of Berean Baptist Church and retired from the Poultry
and Egg Division of Louisiana Department of Agriculture.

  He is survived by his wife, Janice Salley Chance of Shreveport,
father and step-mother Mac and Shirley Chance of Florien, one
son, Charles Wayne Chance of Shreveport; two daughters, Lisa Rene
Chance and Cheryl Melissa Chance both of Shreveport, one brother,
Bobby Gene Chance of Ruston.

  Pallbearers: William Leach, Richard Chance, Douglas Chance,
Lamar Lewis, Tom Blume, Bruce Drepont, Alan Searcy and Allen
Atkins.

  Honorary Pallbearers Joe P. Davis and Kirk Germany.
