All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Floyd Chance Services for Floyd Chance were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, at the Prewitts Chapel Baptist Church in Hornbeck, with the Revs. Dub Williams, and Jerry Masters officiating, with the burial following in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home in Leesville. Mr. Chance, 65, of Anacoco, died August 23, at his residence in Anacoco. Mr. Chance was a native of the Plainview Community, and a retired supervisor and material expeditor for Arco Oil Company. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and a Shriner. He is survived by one son, Keith Chance of Hornbeck; two daughters, Vicki King of Kenai, Alaska, and Sheryl Dowden of Leesville; five brothers, W. D. Chance of Houston, Texas, Wilburn Chance of Hornbeck, Obie Chance of Dallas, Texas, Talmadge Chance of Florien, and Coleman Chance of Anacoco; one sister, Lerah Masters of Plainview; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
