Robert L. Chance

  Funeral services for Robert Lansford Chance, 87, who died
Sunday, in Beaumont, Tex., were held at 3 p.m., Monday, Sept. 20,
in the Holly Grove Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Graham,
and the Rev. T. J. Crosby officiating.

  Burial was in the Holly Grove Cemetery, under the direction of
Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.

  Mr. Chance was a retired carpenter.

  Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Dowden of Hornbeck,
Mrs. F. M. Maxwell of Port Acres, Tex., and Mrs. Beth Williams of
DeRidder; one son, Isaac E. Chance of Houston, Tex.; two
brothers, Floyd Chance of Hornbeck, and Sidney Chance of Anacoco;
15 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
