Officiating was the Rev. Darrell Whitten, pastor of South Acres Baptist Church. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 29, at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. He died at 9:52 p.m., Monday, April 26, 1983, at South Park Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Constable, a native of Marthaville, and a resident of Keithville for the past 12 years, was a retired auto mechanic for L. S. U. Hospital, and a member of South Acres Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Melba Constable of Keithville; three sons, Roderick W. Chandler, U. S. Army, Panama City, Fla., James T. Constable of Pasadena, Texas, and Bernie Lee Glaser of Odessa, Texas; two step sons, Ronald Medlin of Bossier City, and Robbie Medlin of Keithville; six daughters, Mrs. Becky Shaw, Miss Debbie Glaser, both of Pasadena, Texas, Mrs. Bobby Branch of Haughton, Nancy Wasielewski, U. S. Army, Germany, Kelli Constable, Jana Constable, both of Keithville; two step daughters, Mrs. Karen Norris, and Cathy Prodhomme, both of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Joyce Sandifer of Shreveport, and Mrs. Pearl Moore of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, Charles Constable of St. Paul, Minn., and Lean Constable of Waskom, Tex.; and fourteen grandchildren. Pallbearers were Doug Blizzard, Elton Broadway, John Rawls, Elbert Norris, George Bloxom, and Curtis Turner.
