Rev. Jerry W. Canada

  Funeral services for the Rev. Jerry W. Canada, 74, of Shreveport,
was held Sat., May 6, at 1 p.m., in Saline Baptist Church in Converse.
Burial was in the church cemetery.

  The Rev. Mr. Canada was pronounced dead on arival at Confederate
Memorial Hospital, Friday, April 28, following a sudden illness.

  He was a native of Converse, and had been associated with New Hope
Baptist Church in Shreveport for more that 20 years. He had been an
employee of Colored Funeral Home for 33 years.
