Delta Ada Canty

  Funeral services for Delta Ada Canty, 89, were held at 10 a.m.,
Saturday, Dec. 30, 1995, at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel
in Shreveport. Officiating was Dr. Tom Harrison, associate pastor
of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Graveside service was held at 2:30
p.m., Saturday, in Castor Cemetery in Leesville.

  Mrs. Canty died Thursday, Dec. 28, in Shreveport, after a brief
illness. Born in Leesville, Mrs. Canty resided in Shreveport, at
the time of her death. Mrs. Canty was the retired owner and
manager of Real Estate. She was a devout member of the Broadmoor
Baptist Church, and had a deep love for the church music.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Canty.

  Survivors include cousins, Mary F. Graham of Leesville, and
Dorothy Haymon of Robeline; additional cousins, nieces, and
nephews.

  Pallbearers were Joe Bonds, Boyd Holley, O. L. Jordan, Charlie
West, Chamblee McDonald, and Bill Hendricks.

  Memorials may be made to Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree
Dr., Shreveport, La. 71105.
