Dr. Clarence Young, and Rev. Mike Canady officiated. Burial was in Middlecreek Cemetery in Florien, under the direction of Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Canady died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital. He was a Sulphur resident for 44 years. Mr. Canady was retired from Boiler Makers Union Local 79, after 30 years. He also attended Northwestern State University, and was a member of SW La. Genealogical Society. He is survived by his wife, Edna Canady of Sulphur; two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Carolyn) Wakeland of Sulphur, and Mrs. Michael (Vicki) Zambie of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Canady of Pineville, La.; two brothers, Tom Canady of Port Arthur, Tex., and Oscar Canady of Florien, La.; four sisters, Maroe Caldwell of Nederland, Tex., Ida Mae Reynolds of Lountz, Tex., and Gladys Hebert of Jasper, Tex.; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Memorial donations may be made through the Maplewood Baptist Church, Georgia Barnett State Missions Offering, or to the Louisiana Baptist Convention, P. O. Box 311, Alexandria, La. 71309.
