Interment followed in the Grove Hill Cemetery near Mansfield, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Rev. Jack Middleton officiated, with Rev. Robert Bozeman assisting. Mrs. Chumley passed away March 30, in the Schumpert Medical Center, after a brief illness. Mrs. Chumley attended Nolan Hills Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill. She was a descendant of the DeSoto and Polk families, who were early settlers of DeSoto Parish. She is survived by one half sister, Rose Lou Anderson; and one niece, Tina Marie Anderson, both of Zwolle. Pallbearers included W. W. "Bill" Peacock, Keith L. Acklin, Joseph Liker, Andy Anderson, and Paul Taylor. Honorary pallbearers included Dr. C. E. Poimboeuf, J. Frank McAneny, Clyde Sims Sr., Emmett Renois Sr., Bob Barnes, and Charles Fleming.
