Williams Conley (Photo) Funeral services for Mrs. Annie B. Conley, 92, were held Friday, July 7, 1995, at 2 p.m., at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Many. Officiating were the Rev. Fred Jones, and the Rev. Clois Rodgers, pastor of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Interment was in Pilgrim Star Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home of Many. Mrs. Conley, daughter of the late Rev. Isaac and Birdie Williams, was born December 20, 1902, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. She departed this life at her residence, July 2, 1995, at 3:15 p.m. She joined the church at an early age. Mrs. Conley was united in marriage to the late Deacon Mack K. Conley on February 5, 1922, in Florien. To this union, five daughters were born. She faithfully devoted her life to the service of the church, family, and all mankind. Offices held by Mrs. Conley were Deaconess of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Vice President of the Women's Department, Former Assistant Bible Teacher, Former Treasurer of Missionary Society. When she became unable to attend church as desired, Mrs. Conley opened her home to the Missionary Society, and prayer meetings. She loved people, and sought to help them. She loved the Lord, and sought to please Him. Survivors include one sister, Iberia Barrett and husband T. J. of Many; five daughters, Mackie Johnson and husband Leroy of Florien, Emma Wilson and husband Clyde of Grambling, Ruby Palmer and husband Willard, Mable Sweet and husband ?. J. Sweet, all of Many, Bernice Black and husband Oscar of Shreveport; adopted son, Mack L. Conley and wife Shirley of Florien; thirty one grandchildren; sixty great grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers were Clyde Wilson Jr. Ronald L. Palmer, Otis L. Johnson, Mack L. Conley, Frank C. Sweet, and Walter P. Williams Jr.
