Cannon, 104, of Shreveport, were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan, 13, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Marshall Street Chapel. The Rev. Bill Stowell, pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Cannon died Tuesday, Jan. 10, at his residence. He was a native of Rankin County, Miss., and had lived in the Marthaville-Pleasant Hill area most of his life. He had lived in Shreveport for 10 years, was a retired employee of the Texas & Pacific Railroad, having worked there for 42 years. Mr. Cannon was a member of the Pleasant Hill Masonic Lodge, and had been a Master Mason for 72 years. He was a Baptist. Survivors include daughters, Loraine Brown, and Zelma Skinner, both of Shreveport, and Elaine Breard of Monroe; son, Walton Cannon of Jena; six grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers for the services were Timmy Spencer, Wayne Summerlin, H. L. Calvert Jr., Richard Calvert, Mason Cannon, and Jerry Dunn.
