He was a member of Rose Dale Primitive Baptist Church of Beaumont. Funeral services were held at the Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, Texas, with Elder Ramey, Elder Herman Blackmon, and Elder J. R. Haymon officiating. Interment was in Rest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Vidor. Survivors are his wife, Ila Craft, Vidor, Tex.; one daughter, Cheryl Dean Craft, Vidor, Tex.; one son, James R. Craft, Orange; four sisters, Mrs. Ola Sinks, Vidor, Mrs. Lodis Trull, Leesville, Mrs. Jessie Lea Masters, Florien, and Mrs. Valerie Carter of Lumberton, also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers were James K. Masters, J. C. Blackmon, Donald Ray Masters, Jerry Covington, David Barnaby, and Paul Barnaby. Honorary pallbearers were Conrad Craft, Eugene Craft, John C. Trull, and Jimmy Coleman.
