Dr. James Hill, pastor of First Baptist Church of Blanchard, officiated, assisted by the Rev. Joe Emory, associate pastor of Southside Baptist Church. Burial was at Forest Park West Cemetery. Mrs. Corbett died Monday, October 26, 1987, at her residence, after a short illness. She was born in Belmont, La., and had been a resident of Shreveport all of her life. Mrs. Corbett was retired from Southland Corporation. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for 50 years. She is survived by one son, Gerald Wayne Corbett; one daughter, Dorothy J. Jones; two sisters, Odessa Campbell Wahl, and Novalene Campbell Hebert, all of Shreveport; three grandchildren, Karen Wilson, Tina McKinnon, and Gerald Wayne Corbett Jr., and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gerald Wayne Corbett Jr., Richard Laenger, Earl Hebert Jr., Tom Seeger, John Nichols, and Wayne Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Frankie Wilson, and John Kern Jr.
