Crews of Holloway, were held at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Chapel in Pineville, on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. The Rev. L. F. LaPrarie officiated. Burial was in the St. John's Cemetery at Deville. Serving as pallbearers were O. E. Varnado, Cliff Varnado, Charles Crews, Mickey Murphy, Pete Abington, and John Byrd. Mr. Crews died at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 4. He was 77. Mr. Crews was a farmer and cattleman. Survivors include three sons, Albert H. Crews Jr. of Arcadia, Tex., Charles Price Crews of Pineville, and Rodney Crews of Holloway; two daughters, Jan Varnado of Many, and Mary Nell Murphy of Ruston; three sisters, Martha Abington of Many, Iona Barland of Buckeye, and Vera Crews of Alexandria; and two brothers, Ottis Crews, and Appell Crews, both of Holloway.
