A 1970 Civil Engineering graduate of Louisiana State University, he was the owner of Crews Enterprises, and Crews Wood Products, Inc. Survivors include his wife, Jo Lynn Crews; two sons, Carl Rodney, Jr., and Keith Albert Crews; and one daughter, Crystal Lynn Crews; all of Holloway; two brothers, Albert Crews, Jr. of Arcadia, Texas, and Charles Price Crews of Pineville; and two sisters, Jan Varnado of Many, and Mary Nell Murphy of Ruston. Funeral services were held April 3, in the chapel of Hixon Bros., Pineville, with the Revs. Mike Hegwood, and Rick Henson officiating. Burial was in Longview Cemetery, Deville. Pallbearers were Pete Abington, Carl Gunter, Tom Phillips, Shelby Gordon, F. L. Duff, Charles Mayo, Butch Jenkins, and Cliff Varnado. Honorary pallbearers were Appell Crews, O. E. Varnado, Mickey Murphy, Jim Miller, Eric Mayo, Gerald Wilkins, Billy Ray Ainsworth, Vincent Rice, Raymond Espino, Malcolm Aycock, Justin Burnum, M. L. Luneau, Bill Duff, Darrell Hicks, Bob Barton, Wayne Patterson, and Buddy Plumlee.
