Mrs. Merle Ashley Creech

  Services for Mrs. Merle Ashley Creech, 76, of Logansport, were
held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Drewett Memorial Chapel in
Mansfield. The Rev. Guy Murphrey officiated. Burial was at
Highland Cemetery in Mansfield.

  Mrs. Creech died Friday, Feb. 6, 1987, in Mansfield, after a
lengthy illness. She was a retired Mansfield restaurant owner.

  She is survived by her husband, Roy Creech of Logansport; a son
and daughter-in-law, Clayton C. and Betty Cox of Dallas, Tex.;
four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Bill
Ashley of Many; a sister, Prissy Sovet of Opelousas, La.

  Pallbearers were Harold Cogswell, Gordon Christian, John Heard,
Brady Booker, Keith Parker, and Don Bates.

  Honorary pallbearers were Herbert Mathes, and Fred Henderson.
