Eloise L. Sweet Cross

  Funeral services for Mrs. Eloise Cross were held at 2 p.m.,
Saturday, Aug. 19, at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Many,
with the Rev. Clois Rodgers officiating.

  Burial followed in the New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the
directions of Jenkins Funeral Home of Many.

  Little Mama, 89, of Many, passed away Aug. 16, at the IHS
Nursing Home in Many.

  She is survived by her sisters, Jewel Johnson of Cleveland,
Ohio, and Ruby Barton of Many; six children, Lee N. Garner,
Laurel Mississippi, Frances Davis, Shepard Cross, Detroit,
Michigan, James Cross, Houston, Texas, King D. Cross, Dallas,
Texas, Ruby Collier, Many; and a host of nephews, nieces; 27
grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, King D. Cross; son, W.
D. Cross; and daughter, Katherine L. Cross Bell.

  Pallbearers were Deacons from New Jerusalem Baptist Church, and
Redland Baptist Church.

  Honorary pallbearers were nephews, grandsons, and great
grandsons.

  Flower bearers were ushers from both churches.

  Honorary flower bearers were nieces, granddaughters, and great
granddaughters.
