All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Marguerite Hancock Carson Funeral services for Marguerite Elizabeth Hancock Carson, were held at the First United Methodist Church of Many, on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. Officiating were the church pastor, the Rev. Ray Spiller, and former pastor, the Rev. W. H. Bengtson. Mrs. Carson died at her residence in El Paso, Tex., on Thursday, Oct. 26, following a sudden illness. She was 65. Burial was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include three daughters, Janis Curran of Spring Green, Wisc., Betsy Coker of El Paso, Tex., and Judy Meadows of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Vera Hill of Escondido, Calif.; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Carson was a former resident of Many. She owned and operated Carson Furniture Co. in Many for twenty years, and then owned the Tot Shop in Many for one year. At the time of her death, she was teaching special education in El Paso.
