Hickmon N. Creed

  Memorial services will be held Wednesday, July 26, at 1 p.m., at
the First United Methodist Church, Many, for Mr. Hickmon N.
Creed, 74, who died Wednesday, July 19, at 4 p.m.

  Mr. Creed is a native of Dry Prong. He is the son of the late
Dr. Abner B. Creed, and the former Georgia Buckaleuw. Mr. Creed
has been a resident of Lafayette for most of his life. He is a
retired professor, and head of the Marketing Dept. of USL.

  Mr. Creed is a graduate of Chilloco Business College, with a
degree in Business Administration. He received a B.S. degree from
USL, and a MBA from LSU. He did further studies at the University
of Wisconsin, and the University of Colorado. Mr. Creed was also
a member of the National Marketing Assoc., the Assoc. of
Purchasing Agents, and was a veteran of WWII.

  Mr. Creed spent his retirement years fishing, and enjoying
nature at Toledo Bend Lake.

  Survivors include his wife, the former Doris Davis of Lafayette;
one son, David L. Creed of Littleton, Maine; and five
grandchildren.

  The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana, P.
O. Box 3467, Lafayette, La., 70502.

  The Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Dr., is in charge of
the arrangements.
