He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Curtis of Florien; three brothers, Alvin Curtis of Negreet; Norman Curtis of Many, and John Curtis of Orange, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Ester Wright of Many, and Mrs. Emma Barnes of McRae, Ga., and a host of nieces and nephews. The body lay in state at the Antioch Baptist Church from 1 until 2 p.m., when the services were conducted by the Rev. John Wakefield on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the church. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were W. L. Dees, Monroe Randolph, Douglas Curtis, Tom Langton, Hoyt Curtis, and Curtis Campbell.
