L. D. Curtis

  L. D. Curtis, 75, of Hornbeck, died in Shreveport Friday, Oct.
17, at 1010 p.m., following an extended illness.

  Curtis is survived by his widow, Mrs. Belle Curtis of Hornbeck;
two sons, Talmadge Curtis of Hornbeck, and Johnny Curtis of
Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Jewel Alt of Florida; a sister, Mrs.
Mary Clary of Bloomfield, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and four step
children, Thomas R. Mitchell of Fisher, Harvey Mitchell of San
Diego, Calif., Mrs. Effie Hays of Fisher, and Mrs. Dovie Nuggent
of Beaumont, Texas.

  Funeral services were held at the Pine Knott Church Sunday, Oct.
19, at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Johnny Crocker officiating. Burial
was in the Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.
