Crutchfield Jr., 46, died January 6th, at his home, following a lengthy illness. He was owner of the Pelican Drug Store, and had been a resident of Zwolle for the past eight and a half years. Mr. Crutchfield, a native of Boonville, Missouri, attended Washington University in St. Louis, University of Missouri, where he was a member of Pappa Sigma Fraternity. He did graduate work at Gradwahl Institute of Technology, from where he received his Bachelor of Medicine Degree. Following his graduation, he was research chemist at Kettering Laboratories of Cincinnati, Merck Pharmaceutical Company of Rahway, New Jersey, and Bristol Myers of New York. He is survived by his widow, the former Mary Roberts of Pocatello, Idaho; three daughters, Candis, Judy, and Jennifer of Zwolle; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Crutchfield Sr., also of Zwolle. Funeral services, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home of Many, were held at 2:30, Monday, at the First Methodist Church of Zwolle, with the Reverend W. T. Hall officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Dr. Lloyd Murdock, Carl Willis, J. O. Kimbrell, James Q. Salter, William Hopkins, Woodrow W. Holmes of Zwolle, Jack Jordan of Many, and Marvin Eubanks of Shreveport.
