(Dee) Cardin of Many, were held August 2, 1984, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with interment in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Rev. Elton Martin, and Earl Marr officiated. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Cardin died July 31, at 8 a.m., at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Exie Mae Brumley Cardin of Many; one son, James William Cardin, Brandon, Miss.; two daughters, Doris Jeanett, Hobbs, New Mexico, Helen Ruth Barnes, Ft. Smith, Ark.; one brother, George Cardin, Hampton, Florida; four sisters, Charis Biagioli, Freddie Maudella Mann, Polly Bryan, Nora Morris, all of Texarkana, Texas; one sister-in-law, Mrs. I. J. Cardin of Texarkana, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A member and Sunday School teacher at Mt. Zion Baptist Church., He belonged to Masonic Lodge No. 411, in Many. A member of Scottish Rite of Free Mason 32 degree. He was married Feb. 28, 1931, and was married for 53 years. He worked for Murphy's Oil Co. in El Dorado, Ark., as a production superintendent for over 20 years.
