Lillie Frona Courtney

  Services for Mrs. Lillie Frona Courtney, 87, of Hosston, were
held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, at the McGuire Funeral Home
Chapel in Vivian, La. The Rev. Estel Fleming officiated, assisted
by the Rev. Danny Griffin. Burial was at the Munnerlyn Chapel
Cemetery.

  Mrs. Courtney, a housewife, died Tuesday, April 10, 1984, in
Atlanta, Texas, after a short illness. She was born in Doddridge,
Ark. She was a member of Mira Baptist church in Mira, La.

  She is survived by two sons, A. C. Courtney of Scranton, Pa.,
and Bill Courtney of Hosston; three daughters, Myrtes Wynn,
Gertrude Summer, and Aimetha Farmer, at Ida, La.; three sisters,
Fannie Graves of Florien, La., Sarah Fullilove of Shreveport,
La., and Myrtis Ryan of Atlanta, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and a
number of great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Sherman Wynn Jr., Jim Courtney, Bobby Stevens,
Don Courtney, James Courtney, and Jerry Courtney.
