  Mr. Walter Cartinez, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Sabine
Medical Center in Many.

  Services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church, with interment following at St. Joseph
Cemetery. Father David Richter officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Minnie Ola Cartinez of Zwolle; one
son, Joe Cartinez of Zwolle; nine daughters, Mary Tyler, Wanda
Garcie, Rachel Rivers, Carolyn Sepulvado, and Katie Faircloth,
all of Zwolle, and Dorothy Sepulvado, Maxine Faircloth, Gloria
Faircloth, and Sharon Procell, all of Noble; one sister, Edna
Ezernack of Zwolle; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and
several nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Cartinez was preceded
in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Cartinez; two brothers,
Henry, and Charlie Cartinez; two sisters, Ada Grisham, and Wanda
Ezernack; and one step grandchild, Shawn Rivers.
