The Sabine Index - George Carter 
  
  3 Mar 1939 - M. B. Simmons and Miss Vicie Hardey left Monday for 
Beaumont, Texas, where they were called at the death of George 
Carter, brother-in-law of Mr. Simmon, who died at his home there 
Monday morning. 
  
  Mr. Carter, who was born and reared near Zwolle, Sabine parish, 
had many friends in Louisiana. 
  
  He leaves a wife and two sons, George, Jr.,, and Robert Wesley, 
and his mother, Mrs. Carter, who resides in DeRidder, and three 
sisters and two brothers to mourn his death. 
  
  Mr. Carter's wife is a sister of Mrs. Simmons and Miss Vicie 
Hardey.
