Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, in the Line Creek Baptist Church near Ida, with the Rev. Lynn Childs officiating. Burial will be in the Line Creek Cemetery. He was a lifetime resident of Ida, La., and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Mack Ray Carter of Stephens, Ark., and Alton Carter of Ida, La.; five daughters, Mrs. Junie Farmer, and Mrs. Bessie Lee Davis, both of Ida, La., Mrs. Ida Mae Flay of Texarkana, Mrs. Mary Lee Durrett of Florien, and Mrs. Bertha Lee Hazel of Doddridge, Ark.; one brother, Howard Carter of Doddridge, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Wilburn of Tearkana, and Mrs. Stella Endsley of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
